PROPOSAL COORDINATOR

ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel is an international architecture and interior design practice headquartered in Milan, Italy, founded by architects Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel, in 2000.

The practice is currently involved in several international projects, embracing different scales of intervention – from master planning to mixed-use developments, to residential and commercial buildings, corporate headquarters and hotels – in collaboration with a qualified network of specialist consultants.

ACPV can rely on a staff of more than 140 people, coordinated by eight partners.

Overview

The Proposal Coordinator will be responsible for preparing high quality pre-qualification and bid submissions, ensuring that responses to opportunities are written to the highest possible standards, with consistent document formating, according to shared systems, processes and approaches.

This full time, permanent role is ideal for someone who is interested in the business generation side of architecture and design.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain, update and refine a library of standard texts, fee amounts and practice information for bids and proposals
  • Vet all incoming RFPs/RFQs, identifying project specific risks and opportunities within new projects
  • Liaise with the New Business directors to develop a complete understanding of requirements for specific RFPs, bids and new work proposals
  • Manage the planning and collection of materials required for specific RFPs, incl. coordination with external consultants
  • Support the New Business team in preparing bid and tender responses using Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Office, and Project Management applications to track the status of associated tasks
  • Maintain an asset library of relevant submission documents, previous successful responses, feedback, company information, and other related certificates and records.

Qualities and skills required:

  • Previous experience in a similar business development role within the architecture, engineering, construction or professional service industry.
  • Experience putting together fee proposals for design services in the EU, UK and/or the Middle East.
  • Knowledge of Architectural and Engineering scope of services according to main international standards (RIBA, AIA, …)
  • Excellent knowledge of both Italian and English
  • Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational and administrative, proofreading and document production skills; adept in MS Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat and InDesign

FACILITY & OFFICE MANAGER

ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel is an international architecture and interior design practice headquartered in Milan, Italy, is seeking a Facility & Office Manager.

The practice is currently involved in several international projects, embracing different scales of intervention – from master planning to mixed-use developments, to residential and commercial buildings, corporate headquarters and hotels – in collaboration with a qualified network of specialist consultants. The practice can rely on a staff of more than 140 people, coordinated by eight partners.

The ideal candidate will support the organization of management activities. In particular, they will have to be able to plan, coordinate and manage all internal activities, provide support to the Operation Manager and the HR Department.

Tasks / responsibilities:

The Facility & Office Manager directly reporting to the Operation Manager will take care of:

  • Relational and decision-making activities, carried out through meetings with company managers, with the aim of defining facilities management strategies and policies, and identifying service needs,
  • Control, analysis of management results (through reporting provided by service providers), inspections for the purpose of service quality monitoring, meetings with suppliers,
  • Facility management activities in the Milan offices, relating to electricity, gas, plumbing, lighting and cleaning.

Specific responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for the regular performance of office operations,
  • Management of the attendance of collaborators in the office, with temporary and variable assignment of workstations, according to the timing of the projects in progress,
  • Support the HR Department in drafting company policies and protocols,
  • Support in the management of service costs in compliance with predetermined budgets,
  • Support in the management of the budget with variations and action planning,
  • Manages relations with company managers and suppliers of specialist services,
  • Support in the management of operational personnel.

Requirements:

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel (ACPV), an international cross-disciplinary architecture and interior design practice based in Milan, Italy, is seeking a Business Development Coordinator (a newly established position) to join our expanding Business Development team.

The Business Development Coordinator (BDC) will play an important part in the success of our business, supporting our senior partners in the gathering of intelligence and provision of data to develop our understanding of our existing and prospective clients’ needs.

The BDC must understand local and international markets and needs, define the best positioning and commercial action plan to implement the business development activities in Italy and abroad.

The BDC will have a strong working relationship to the Business Development team, composed of marketing, bidding and fee proposal specialists. A background in Architecture, or within the construction industry, is a plus.

Primary areas of responsibility:

  • Identify and map business strengths and customer needs
  • Identify and increase public and private clients’ base
  • Undertake research projects specific to geographical markets, sectors and client groups
  • Gather useful information from customers and competitors
  • Develop and maintain a network of contacts across clients, consultants and specialists
  • Engage in the A/E/C community, both on-line and representing the practice at industry forums and events
  • Log and maintain CRM records for new project opportunities
  • Contribute to weekly opportunities meeting with the partners
  • Support the new business team in identifying, appraising and responding to new project enquiries and opportunities
  • Maintain a library of written responses, case studies and relevant information to support the production of bids

We seek a person who:

  • Has a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar capacity within the architecture, property development, engineering, construction or professional service industry.

3D ARCHITECTURAL VISUALIZER

Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel (ACPV), an international cross-disciplinary architecture and interior design practice based in Milan, Italy, is looking for a 3D Architectural Visualizer to join its team in Milan.

The suitable candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role at larger creative services organizations and excellent rendering skills, including for interior design, with particular aptitute and care for details. Ability to work in Italy is mandatory.

BIM COORDINATOR

Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel (ACPV), an international cross-disciplinary architecture and interior design practice based in Milan, Italy, is looking for a BIM Coordinator to join its team in Milan.

ACPV is looking for an Architect to be included in our BIM department as BIM Coordinator.

The successful candidate will support the team by:

  • BIM Project Setup and Maintenance according to Company Standards.
  • BIM Coordination and daily management of BIM projects data sets/workflows.
  • Maintenance project BIM execution plans and technical documentation.
  • Run BIM Coordination Meetings between different project consultants.
  • Establish BIM Coordination workshops and report progress at the Project Design Team meetings.
  • Creation and maintenance of Complex Parametric Revit Families.
  • To produce and maintain Dynamo Scripts to improve design workflows.
  • Provide one-to-one training on ‘Best Practice’ workflows to project teams.
  • Provide technical support for BIM enabling software applications to the project team.
  • Liaise with company BIM Management to develop and maintain Firm BIM Standard.
  • To contribute or otherwise assist as required.

The ideal candidate will be highly organised, meticulous and result-driven. We want someone who is able to manage deadlines and work accurately. In-depth knowledge of Revit, Naviswork and Dynamo is a prerequisite and essential. Knowledge of the following is an advantage: Python, C# or general coding skills.

Further requirements:

  • Experience in multidisciplinary design coordination in an advantage.
  • Master Degree in Architecture or similar.
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to work independently and as part of an effective team
